Imagine a tiny home that feels like a regular home. It sleeps up to 6 (maybe even 8). It’s tiny (sort of) but has all the comforts of home. A full bathroom, a kitchen with lots of cabinet space, quartz countertops and a full set of appliances. All other rooms are spacious and functional. Constructed with two by six walls allows for a high R value so you can use it year-round, and with the metal siding, it’s almost maintenance free. What more could you want?

Tucked away on the stunning Sunshine Coast, about half an hour north of Sechelt, lies the charming community of Honeymoon Bay—a hidden gem surrounded by lush forests and ocean views. Among its treasures is a unique RV park, thoughtfully designed by our friends at Haley RV, where residents can embrace the beauty of tiny living in full-time RVs and tiny homes.
Recently, this vibrant community needed a little something extra to meet its growing needs—expanded washroom facilities and a place for residents to wash some larger loads of laundry. That’s where Rover Tiny Homes stepped in, ready to provide a solution.
We designed a custom building on wheels: two beautifully crafted washrooms and a cozy commercial laundry facility. Now, residents have a shared space to freshen up and take care of the essentials, all while enjoying the style and efficiency that define our work.
Whether you need a laundry facility for a bustling RV park, extra washrooms for your remote job site, or anything in between, Rover Tiny Homes is here to bring your vision to life. Let’s figure out what you need and get building!
We never know what kind of inquiries will come through our contact us page, but it’s always exciting and unpredictable. One day, a message arrived from a woman envisioning a cozy guest retreat for her kids and grandkids on her idyllic Shuswap Lake vacation property. What began as a simple Harrison Garden Suite soon became something more —a multilevel tiny home filled with charm and functionality.
The final design was very smart: a roomy queen bedroom at the top of a short staircase, offering a large window framing breathtaking lake views. Below, two whimsical “crawl-away” nooks for the young (or young at heart) to explore, while a compact kitchen, a spacious living area, and a cleverly tucked-away washroom make this little home as practical as it is enchanting.
Kudos to Leslie for bringing this vision to life! Here’s to countless family gatherings, laughter, and memories made in this lakeside getaway.
The first time we heard of Edgewood was through a young couple with a big dream. They reached out, excitement obvious: “We’re selling our house and moving to Edgewood!” All they needed was a home—a fresh start in the scenic Kootenays.
Their journey began with an ambitious plan. First, an office pod with a washroom, giving her a peaceful workspace away from their two young children. Meanwhile, a local contractor prepared the foundation for their main house, customized for a growing family.
After months of planning, the day arrived. The driveway was widened, the house craned onto its foundation, and a spacious mudroom added—a practical buffer against Edgewood’s snowy winters.
The result was a home that seamlessly blended comfort with nature, offering warmth and shelter while embracing the rugged beauty around them. More than just a house, it was the foundation for a new chapter in their lives.
Many of you familiar with our website may recognize this little story—it’s the origin of the Monashee. It all began when the team at Crazy Creek approached us with a unique request: they needed a small but high-end getaway. “We need sleeping space for a family of four, but we don’t need a big living area,” they said. At Crazy Creek, people spend most of their time enjoying the outdoors or relaxing in the pools. So, we crafted a design that perfectly met their needs. The response to the design was so positive that we decided to name it the Monashee and make it available to the public. Sometimes, a custom project ends up becoming one of our signature models with a name. The Monashee is a great example.
Not every custom home begins from scratch. Jenn contacted us one day and simply said that she loved the Woodside and needed an exercise studio in her yard. The challenge was that the studio would sit on an easement, so it needed to be easily movable and on permanent wheels. So, we designed her a woodside with the washroom and kitchen removed and certified it as an Z240MH on wheels. Today, she is enjoying her studio. It has a small room, a larger workout room and a handwashing sink. It’s very simple. It’s what she needs.
Sometimes we are asked if we can make a few changes to an existing model. Just in case you haven’t figured it out yet, the answer is yes! But other times, there are just so many changes that we decide to give it a new name. The Breakenridge is a great example. What started out as a Silvertip, soon grew an identity of its own. The owner new what he wanted and since he’s a cabinet maker, he wanted it loaded with cabinets. We made it wider; we made it longer, we laid it out to function best as an Air BNB. The result is an impressive great room with large windows and beautiful views, a well-appointed kitchen, large bathroom with a soaker tub, roomy entrance and a wide-open bedroom with room for a King (bed). The final touch will be a covered patio before the BBQ is set up and it becomes home away form home for a week, or maybe more. What started as a Silvertip, became a Breakenridge. You just never know where the design-journey will take you.
A custom tiny home follows a fixed layout, but allows you to make customizations to colours, finishes, and some minor details, such as room and window sizes to better match how you plan to use the space.

We offer multiple certification options depending on how the home will be used and where it will be placed. Certification requirements can vary for RV-style homes, portable cottages, garden suites, and permanent installations. The right option depends on local regulations, transportation needs, and intended occupancy.
Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the project, material selections, permitting requirements, and production schedules. Simpler layouts may move through the process more quickly, while highly customized homes with unique design requests often require additional planning and coordination.
